ALL THOSE SLOUCHING ON THE COUCH CALLS FOR SOME CLEANING!
Is your sofa getting all the attention finally? All the catching up sessions with the Sofa during these lockdown days surely calls for a cleaning session. The current warm climate in Sri Lanka isn’t co-operating either. But how do we clean? Don’t sweat it! QuickHelp’s team is here for guidance until we connect you with a Couch Cleaning service provider near you!
1. Protect with Slipcover
If your taste in couch and cushions was a light color, well don’t worry! Cover up before you regret. Covering it with Slip covers or even a washable fabric would provide protection from any spills or stains.
Also don’t forget to match the cover with the overall décor of the room.
2. Avoid placing your couch close to windows
Keeping the sofa closer to windows for a prolonged period results in fading. Even though sunlight is a great way to kill germs and helps avoid the odor, exposure to sun for a long time is not the best of methods as it will cost you later! Simply, control the level of sunbathing your sofa gets!
3. Use a Vacuum Cleaner or a Duster
Vacuum Cleaner or a duster could you be your next ‘can’t without’ tools for the daily cleaning routine as they help to get rid of any dust, allergens or even pet dander.
If you are using a Vacuum cleaner, here’s a little sofa cleaning DIY tip from us. Sprinkle a bit of baking powder and leave it for a few hours before vacuuming the sofa. This helps in removing bacteria (Sounds ideal during COVID-19 times, right?) and moisture from the sofa.
4. Fluff your cushions and the seats
Flip and Fluff! As exciting as that sounds, it ensures that your sofa is in shape!
Even though the Lockdown seems scary, this could be the longest and the best time you get to spend at home! Cherish it while it lasts. We will be back with our professional sofa cleaning providers before you know it!
Until such time, stay safe.
